Giants 1, Cubs 0 (19-11)
The Cubs finished both their series with the Giants and their homestand on a losing note as the Cubs hitters picked up just two singles and a double the entire game. Throw in just three walks, and no Cubs hitter reached base more then once.
It was unfortunate that a nice start by Jack Pfiester went to waste. He gave up a single run in his eight innings of work but for his efforts, he took the loss.
