Cubs 3, Reds 1 (36-21)
Ed Reulbach pitched the Cubs to a win in the first game of their doubleheader with the Reds. He gave up just one run on seven hits and one walk.
Jimmy Sheckard had the big hit with a solo homer to lead off the seventh inning. This hit tied things up and then the Cubs rallied for two runs in the eighth inning to win it. Joe Tinker finished with two singles and one of them drove in the go ahead run in that eighth inning.

Cubs 2, Reds 0 (37-21)
The Cubs won for the fifth time in six games as they took care of the Reds behind a three hit shutout by Jack Pfiester. He didn’t walk a single batter and he struck out four.
Home on the Range divx Harry Steinfeldt had a huge day at the plate. He went three for four with a double and he scored one of the Cubs two runs.
