Cubs 8, Giants 7 (19-9)
The Cubs needed all eight of their runs today as they topped the Giants 8-7 in ten innings. Joe Tinker drove home the game winner in the tenth inning. It was his second single of the game while Johnny Evers singled, drew a walk and scored three times.
Jack Pfiester gave up four runs in 2 1/3 innings before he came out in place of the red hot Three Finger Brown. Mordecai then gave up three runs in the seventh but he held on to pick up the win in the game.
